Creating a Powerful Project Gallery

Creating a Powerful Project Gallery

One of the most powerful components of your website is the project gallery.  It’s one of the first things people look for on your web site and it’s the place where you make the strongest impression.  Do it right and people will get in line to work with you.  Do it wrong and…well, don’t do it wrong!

Use your project gallery to inspire your clients and give them a reason to contact you.  Showcase only your very best work and only the types of jobs you’re trying to land.  Include clear, high quality images and use just enough text to share a few details without being boring or long winded.

Not sure what to include?  Consider these questions:

  • Do I have a project for each type of work I’m trying to sell?
  • Is this the BEST example of my team’s craftsmanship and quality?
  • Was this job profitable and something I’d like to do more often?
  • Does this project stand out compared to my competition?
  • Is this project unique or have I already included something similar in the gallery?

Remember, less is more when it comes to your project gallery.  Clients want to see the best examples of each type of work you do – not an example of every project you’ve completed in the past 24 months.  Most clients will only look at one or two projects in your gallery before they move on.  Grab their attention by highlighting your best work.

Clients make buying decisions based in part on what they see.  Make sure every project you add to the gallery represents a type of work you’re interested in doing more often.  If you’re trying to get away from residential remodels, for example, consider leaving those projects out of your gallery or including on a single remodel job.  Use your precious gallery space to promote the work you want.

You’ve Got “A Guy”

You’ve Got “A Guy”

Specialization–it’s the name of the game. You wouldn’t have your plumber build your cabinets, or your tile guy rough in your electrical.

An internet presence is just the same. Yes, there are numerous DIY options, but that doesn’t mean they are effective, impactful, or a good use of your time.

Put the focus back on your business and your craft, because we’re the sub you need for your website. You set the specs and let us do the job.

With upfront pricing, you’ll never get bit by a Time and Materials project gone wrong. You’ll know what you’re paying and that you’re only paying for what you need.

The initial phone consultation is free. Schedule a time today to find out how we can be your “Web Guy.”

Projects start with discussion and negotiation, but nothing really happens until there’s a plan. Clients review floor plans and discuss their needs. Maybe they hire an architect to prepare drawings or pour over your standard models to find a design that meets their needs.

Either way, the first step is always the plan. Why? Because breaking ground before you figure out what you’re building is a recipe for disaster. You just don’t go there with your business and you shouldn’t with your web site.

Overwhelmed with planning? We can simplify it. Think about your web site build as just another job. Ready? Let’s get planning!
