Dig In or Stay Hands Off

Dig In or Stay Hands Off

With Sites For Builders you have options. You can choose to dig in and learn to manage and maintain your own site. You can update staff bios, showcase new work and browse reports on what’s getting traffic. You may also simply choose to delegate your website updates and maintenance. In either case, we have a Service Plan to for you.

Delegation makes sure your end users are having a consistent experience by making sure that your website is up-to-date and fully functional, and affords you time to dig into reporting to understand how you can make it even more impactful or simply get back to what you do.

Whether you want to be “hands off” or “all in” on your website management, we have you covered. It starts with a conversation.

Clear, Upfront Pricing

Clear, Upfront Pricing

The bidding process–it’s the necessary evil of the construction world. Few of us love crunching the numbers, because we prefer to be out there doing the work. Getting that work, however, is not possible without our clients approving the costs.

Many times, a Time & Materials proposal with a “not to exceed” will fit the bill on a smaller project and keep costs down for the client, since the unknown are dealt with and approved as they occur, not accounted for inside of the bid.

In website design and maintenance, however, this is seldom the case. Many competitors will charge base hosting fees, then invoice out all hours. Costs can quickly balloon.

We believe in up-front fees so our clients always know they are getting what they pay for. Full transparency and no hidden costs. We’re good at what we do, so we can stand behind the prices we set up front.

Building on a Budget

Building on a Budget

You’ve built a budget for your company, and we understand that. It ensures what’s important to you is covered—without losing all of your funds in the process. Part of creating that budget is deciding what is most important in making your business successful. Drawing in new customers while keeping existing customers happy costs money. We can turn that expense into an asset by creating a brand that sells itself.

Today’s consumer wants great service, high quality product, excellent timing, and all for a low cost. How do you as a service provider portray all of this without breaking the bank? With a strong brand identity and effective marketing tools you can tell your story without having to speak a word. We can make this happen.

It’s as simple as this: Choose what you want, pay for what you want. With up front costs, you won’t have to worry about surprise costs later on, thus sticking to your budget. Sites For Builders provides reliable services for everything you need, and won’t haggle you for anything you don’t. Everyone is at a different place, so whether you need a total redesign or just a facelift, we are here for you.

Creating a Powerful Project Gallery

Creating a Powerful Project Gallery

One of the most powerful components of your website is the project gallery.  It’s one of the first things people look for on your web site and it’s the place where you make the strongest impression.  Do it right and people will get in line to work with you.  Do it wrong and…well, don’t do it wrong!

Use your project gallery to inspire your clients and give them a reason to contact you.  Showcase only your very best work and only the types of jobs you’re trying to land.  Include clear, high quality images and use just enough text to share a few details without being boring or long winded.

Not sure what to include?  Consider these questions:

  • Do I have a project for each type of work I’m trying to sell?
  • Is this the BEST example of my team’s craftsmanship and quality?
  • Was this job profitable and something I’d like to do more often?
  • Does this project stand out compared to my competition?
  • Is this project unique or have I already included something similar in the gallery?

Remember, less is more when it comes to your project gallery.  Clients want to see the best examples of each type of work you do – not an example of every project you’ve completed in the past 24 months.  Most clients will only look at one or two projects in your gallery before they move on.  Grab their attention by highlighting your best work.

Clients make buying decisions based in part on what they see.  Make sure every project you add to the gallery represents a type of work you’re interested in doing more often.  If you’re trying to get away from residential remodels, for example, consider leaving those projects out of your gallery or including on a single remodel job.  Use your precious gallery space to promote the work you want.

Care and Craftsmanship

Care and Craftsmanship

You are proud of your work. You should be! You have spent time honing your craft, which informs the materials you use, time you spend, and results you produce. Don’t keep your work a secret. The best way to attract new clients is to make sure your existing work has a stellar showcase.

Here are some key items to help your work speak for itself:

  • An up-to-date project gallery: This lets future clients see your skill in action and determine whether you would be a good fit for their projects.
  • Strong social media profiles: Facebook, Pinterest, Houzz…if you consistently highlight the exemplary work you are doing, you will develop a following interested in your work and ready to share it!
  • Use a case study format: Provide details about a project’s budget and timeline but also include information about a challenge your team overcame or unique materials used on a job.

The stronger your web presence, the easier you are to find…and more likely you are to get the bid for the next project.
